Hello! I'm Bruno Jacob.

I am currently a machine learning engineer at Carpe Data. Prior to that, I completed my PhD in Computational Science and Engineering (CSE) at the University of California, Santa Barbara, under the supervision of Prof. Linda Petzold.

And prior to that I completed my Bachelors and Masters degrees in engineering at the Universidade Federal de Uberlandia (Brazil), and at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

My current research interests include

  • Developing ensemble methods to perform entity resolution of unlabeled, unstructured data.
  • Developing strategies to eliminate Gibbs phonomenon in Fourier pseudospectral methods in regions of discontinuities in boundary value problems.
